Basic White Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 1/4 tsp. active dry yeast

Instructions:

Add all the ingredients to the bread maker in the order recommended by the manufacturer.

Set the bread maker to the “Basic” or “White” bread cycle.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cups bread flour

  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 1/4 tsp. active dry yeast
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions:

Add all the ingredients except the raisins to the bread maker in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
Set the bread maker to the “Sweet” bread cycle.
Add the raisins when the machine beeps, usually about 5-10 minutes before the end of the kneading cycle.
Press start and let the bread maker do the work.
Once the cycle is complete, remove the bread from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack.
